What's an activated nut?
The hazelnuts are activated to make them easier for digestion, and for added crunch and flavour.
It involves soaking the nuts in water and some salt for a number of hours, then dehydrating them. It helps to remove the phytic acid, which can be harsh on the digestive system for many people.
